Apple Music adds ‘My New Music Mix’ playlist to take on Spotify ‘Discover Weekly’

Apple just added a new ‘My New Music Mix’ playlist to the iOS 10 beta.

The playlist will automatically update every Friday with new songs based on your listening history.

AI hasn’t been Apple’s strong suit up until now, and even Apple Music’s ‘For You’ feature has been limited in previous releases. Though if ‘My New Music Mix’ ends up working as well as ‘Discovery Weekly’ in Spotify it could be just another card up Apple’s sleeve.

This feature along with Beats 1 gives Apple Music yet another content advantage over Spotify, but Apple’s software is still lacking.
