Could actually be a real contender now that Chrome OS runs Android apps
According to multiple threads on Reddit over the weekend, Google might be about to revive the Chromebook Pixel, or even better, they might be about to introduce something even better.
Google’s Opinion Rewards works by paying people in Google Play credit to answer surveys.
But one question in the app made it clear that Google might be considering shipping a Chromebook Pro.
With the recent inclusion of Android apps within Chrome OS, which function basically as native apps with no emulation, it could make some sense.
And if anything, Google has more to offer casual users than, say, an iPad. The device, if priced reasonably, could even act as a stepping stone for tablet users hoping to upgrade to a laptop. Plus a Chromebook with native Android apps like Microsoft Word and Evernote could give Windows 10 a run for its money.
