Has your Telstra NBN been crap in NSW?

You know what’s worse than having no internet? Having slow internet. According to Telstra (and my own experience as a Telstra NBN FTTN-Malcolm-Turnbull-Flawless-Network customer) their own users in NSW “may have experienced issues with their NBN service since 25/11/2016.”

And since Telstra only posted the following information yesterday in the 29th of August that means there was practically no solid communication with customers for 4 days. From Telstra:

Specifically, customers may have been unable to receive calls or they may have experienced slow data speeds.
We have identified there was a problem with equipment that supports NBN services at two Exchanges in Sydney. The equipment at one Exchange was fixed last night which has restored many services and the remaining services will be restored tonight.
As soon as we identified the cause of the problem, we worked as quickly as possible to restore services and minimise impact to customers.
We thank customers for their patience and understanding. We will provide a further update when all services have been restored.

Up until now Telstra had just one status update on the issue which stated that some customers in NSW might be having NBN issues, with no ETA on a fix or the cause of the issue.

Great to hear I haven’t just been imagining my spotty internet connection. Thanks for the heads up 4 days later Telstra!
