New: Samsung Gear S3

Samsung has two new Gear watches.

The Gear S3 Frontier is ‘rugged’, the Gear S3 Classic is faux-fancy.

They have Samsung Pay, IP68 water and dust resistance, a 16 megapixel screen (yep, Samsung are measuring smartwatch screens in megapixels now), an always-on display (with basic info when idle), 4GB of storage space and a built-in GPS.

The Frontier also has 4G for use without a phone, which could be cool if Samsung has some battery life magic. Apple apparently couldn’t figure that part out in time for the next Apple Watch.
