Puyo Puyo Tetris
★★★★☆ — Don’t let the name scare you
I really love having a copy of Tetris on any portable console I own and Puyo Puyo Tetris is a super fun and fresh take on the classic formula. The game was an instant purchase for me.
To be fair you could get a solid quick hit of Tetris fun from the free Puyo Puyo Tetris eShop demo, but online multiplayer and other local modes also mean the asking price makes a lot of sense.
It’s also a good palette cleanser if you’re feeling burnt out by a hard Zelda puzzle or need something super simple to play on public transport. Puyo Puyo Tetris’ character roster also gives the game a better feeling of variety and progression compared to other Tetris releases.
