Digital Storm has a new US$3000, all-in-one, 34-inch curved display computer that comes with an inbuilt Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080. Apparently that’s the best card money can buy.

But all it makes me think is, how cool would it be to have a thin, light laptop that you could just dock into a screen like this, with an inbuilt graphics card and maybe some more processing power for gaming.

Plenty of laptops ship with a tonne of RAM, processing power, in mostly thin, light cases. But how amazing would it be to be able to offload some power to an external screen with a graphics card. Then you’d still have the same thin, light laptop for portability, and the ability to just dock-and-go as you please.

There’s probably a reason why this isn’t possible, or why it’s stupid, but hey, a girl can dream. It also reminds me a bit of what Google’s Ara phone is trying to achieve. Pop on a big battery when you need it, take it off when you don’t.
