The Cost Of Losing 30 Pounds
It is a privilege to be able to be afford to be healthy. It is not free. One needs, at the very least, time to exercise, money to buy food.

When you’ve always been fat you end up spending money desperately to find out ways to not be fat. A year-long gym membership, healthier food, gadgets like Fitbit’s and headphones and other crap. Sometimes you starve yourself, or you run in the freezing cold and the pouring rain, or you realise that you just don’t have time to exercise when it’s pitch black in the morning and the night.

The only thing I can really add is that sometimes gimmicks like the Fitbit can actually work. At least, they do for me. But often the hardest, and most expensive, part is finding your gimmick.
