Why doesn’t Twitter push Periscope more?

We’re rolling out a ‘Go Live’ button in Twitter to a small percentage of users,” the company said in a statement. “Over time, all users will have the ability to start a Periscope broadcast from Twitter.”
It’s strange that Twitter hadn’t already pushed Periscope more. You can watch Periscope streams within the Twitter app, but as far as users know, Periscope feels like any other third-party tapping into Twitter.
Bloomberg is also reporting that Twitter may soon stop including links and photos in the 140 character Twitter limit, another obvious change.
